Dear Father in Heaven, On this day I offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the many blessings which I have received. In this Christmas season I have seen and experienced Christian love and am thankful for the reminders of the true meaning of the season.

I thank you for bringing Susie into my life and pray you will bless our life together. To find true love once in a lifetime is more than most experience for me to find it again I am very grateful.

Allow me to be deserving of her love. May I remember each day to honor her with the best I have to offer. All of these things I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

Heavenly Father, On this day I ask your continued blessing on my work. Allow me to serve you as I serve my clients. Fill me with motivation and drive to accomplish the tasks which will help my business grow and succeed.

May my work be a blessing to those I serve and a reflection of your faith in me. Help me to use my experiences to better assist those who are facing challenging times in their personal and professional lives.

Dear God, Thank you for my life and all of those people you have placed in it that have made it special. I especially thank you for my kid's who are so precious to me. May they continue to be blessed with happy lives and much success.

Thank you for Susie and the true blessing she has been in my life. She picked me off the trash pile and gives my life meaning and purpose. Help me to remember each day the gift she is to me and allow me to honor her for all she means to me.

I also thank you for work and the ability to do the tasks each day brings. May I always do work that is pleasing to you. Allow me to be fulfilled with the gift of my work. All of these things I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, There are times when I don't know how to pray. Most recently it has been for those who are homeless and hungry. It seems I should be more about action than words. Rather than asking for you to intercede, I should be doing something.

So with this in mind I ask you to give me wisdom and direction in how I can best serve this segment of our community. In serving meals with my fellow church members I have seen their faces but I do not know their hearts. Allow me to be more open and accepting of them.

Whenever I am asked to offer the mealtime prayer for them I struggle to come up with the right words. Open my heart to allow you to speak through me. Help me to identify their needs and where I may be a blessing to them. These things I ask in the one who gave us the most precious gift, Jesus Christ. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, You continue to reveal yourself in my life and for that I am grateful. When I am discouraged, you show me hope in the future. When I am frustrated you light a path. When I am confused you give me reason.

Thank you for each gift and the blessing of learning from my experiences. May the lessons I learn be used to aid others along their path. Give me courage to boldly proclaim your love for me and for those I encounter.

Make me a disciple of your love in my daily life. Hold me accountable to you for my actions and my willingness to share the good news of Jesus. All of this I ask in your name. Amen

Dear God, Each day brings new opportunities and new challenges. I give you thanks for both. For opportunities which give my work and life interest. And for challenges which keep me sharp and on my toes.

I am most thankful you have given me the talent and abilities to accept both and work towards making the world around me a better place. Continue to bless my work that I may provide viable, successful solutions to my clients.

You have gifted me with the ability to speak and write in ways which motivate those who listen and read. Allow my to utilize those abilities to the full measure of what you have given to me. Dear God, On this day I am relieved to have many things in my life begin to fall into place. It has been a very long time since I truly felt positive about the path I am on.

I know there will continue to be some rough days ahead. But I ma more assured than ever in your presence and guidance and trust you to lead me on my continued life journey.

Give me confidence to take the next step and each subsequent step. In you I trust and to you I pray. Amen

Gracious God, On this day I come to you in prayer for many others. first there is my friend Jan who has lost hope and confidence in your ability and willingness to answer prayer.

She has gone through a devastating time with the recent loss of her son. Allow her to find joy in the memories of the time her son was here. Remind her that you are with her always. Reassure here that all that love her and her son and now offer her support are gifts from you.

It is often hard to feel close to you when we are hurting so deeply. Help her to find you are near to her and give her comfort. The gift of her son is made even more precious by the short time he was with us. Help all who knew him to rejoice in his life and the positives which he brought to them.

In times such as these help us to deepen our faith and turn more fully to you. It is in your arms which we find true comfort and healing. Surround Jan with your embrace and help her to feel your presence.

This I pray in the name of Jesus who secured the promise that we all will one day be reunited. Amen

My Dear God, I need to more clearly hear your call for me. As I continue to discern your call for me help me to recognize the path you want me to travel. In the coming days I am committed to evaluate and assess your plan.

Through this process I ask that you guide me in my decisions and help me to set out a path which glorifies you and allows me to utilize the gifts you have given to me. Help me to put aside my doubts and move forward with enthusiasm.

You have blessed me with many gifts. I want to use them to honor and glorify you. I pray that I will always be your loyal servant. All these things I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

Dear God, There is so much brokenness in the world. There are many who are in pain from loss of jobs, who are in broken relationships, who go to sleep each night hungry and/or alone. I pray for your intercession on their behalf.

Guide those who have the resources to assist those who cannot help themselves. Open all of our eyes to those in need around us. Help us to be more Christlike in our response to those who need our help.

Allow those who are in position of authority to make the right decisions even when they are not popular. The path to a better future is all of our responsibility. Guide is on that path. All of this I pray in the one who set the perfect example, Jesus Christ. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, Most often we come to you with prayers of need or for relief from unhappiness or sadness. On this day I offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the many blessings you have given to me.

For a new start which allows me to leave my past in the past. For a church family who has accepted me and allowed me to become one of them. And for Susie who has become my constant source of inspiration and assurance I am most grateful.

Allow me to be a disciple of Jesus in my daily life. Keep me constantly aware of those who need to hear your word and for those circumstances where I can make a difference. Most importantly, prod me to action to serve as you have called me. All of these things I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

Dear God, Today I offer thanks for a safe trip back from Illinois. I am happy to have all of my possessions in one place. Thank you too for my family. I love them all very much and while we are miles apart they are always in my thoughts and in my heart.

As Susie and I combine our households may it be the beginning of a wonderful life together. Thank you to for putting Susie in my life. She has indeed been a true gift from you and I will treasure her and our relationship always.

You are indeed a gracious and compassionate God. Thank you for never leaving me through the trials of the past couple of years. Help me to now focus on the future and all that it holds for me. I pray all of this in the name of Jesus, my savior. Amen

Dear God, You continue to reveal your plan for me on your time. Allow me to0 be patient in waiting for the whole plan to be known. In the meantime give me patience and the motivation to share your message of Love and Reconciliation.

We live in troubled times. There are many who are in need of a relationship with you. Help me to be bold in proclaiming Jesus and his message of salvation. Allow me to see where there is a need and be willing to fill the gap.

In a broken world you are the answer for healing. Bring those in leadership to such an understanding and allow them to turn to you for guidance. All of these things I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear God, For this day and it's many blessings I give you thanks. Each day I am blessed with many opportunities for which I am grateful. Allow me to take full advantage of these opportunities and fulfill your purpose for my life.

Give me courage to face the difficulties which sometimes arise and remind me that you are with my in the good times as well as the bad. Even in despair remind me there are those who have much less who need me help.

Lead me in service to my fellow man and allow me to cheerfully serve as you have called me. All of this I pray in the name of Jesus who was the perfect example of giving to his fellow man. Amen

Dear God, On this day I contemplate the week ahead and realize there are several difficult decisions I must face. I pray that you will be with me in these decisions and allow my to find peace in my heart.

You know the pain and frustration I have been feeling. I pray you will lift these feelings from me. Where I am today is not what I anticipated a few years ago. Allow me to rejoice in the good of my new circumstances and let go of the past.

Heavenly Father, there are so many who are in dire need of your presence in their lives. There are those who are alone, those who are without work, and those who are dealing with heartache. For all of these I ask you to bring them a sense of comfort and hope.

There are those who struggle with addiction, those who have lost hope, and those who have lost their way. Help them to find you. Place people in their lives who will help them deal with their troubles and lead them to you.

You have given us an example of how to live our lives in Jesus Christ. Give us the courage to live out the great commission and carry the word of salvation to our fellow man. Remind us that those in the least desirable situations need to hear of you the most and make us brave disciples of your word. All of this I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

A Mother's Day Prayer

There is no greater example of God's love for us than the love of a mother. On this day we lift up to you moms and all of those who play the role of mom in our lives.

It is in their gentle voice which our fears are swept away.

It is in their stern voice of admonishment we learn the lessons of this world.

It is in their loving words of encouragement we are released into the world to conquer our successes and learn from our failures.

It is in their caring voices of concern we are lifted up when we are down.

In our mother's heart we are never lost.

In our mother's heart we are loved the unconditional love only a mother can give.

It is in a mother's hope we will always have hope.

It's in a mother's love we will always have love.

Unconditional, freely given and with nothing expected in return.

On this Mother's Day may we all take the time to say thank you to the mothers in our lives and be reminded that they are the truest reflection of your love for us. Thank you God for giving us this perfect example of your love. May we always be worthy of this very special gift. Amen

Dear God, There are many in this world who live everyday in poverty and despair. Help us to seek out ways to assist them in their struggles and to be willing to take action in improving their circumstances.

You have given us the gifts and tools to make a difference in the world. While we may not be able to fix the large problems give us the wisdom and ability to fix our own little corner.

Allow us to be hope to the hopeless. Teach us to be tolerant of those with whom we may not agree and willing to serve together for the common good. You have called each of us to live with the heart of a servant. Give us the courage to do the work you have called us to do. All of this in the name of Jesus. Amen

Heavenly Father, You have called each of us to be disciples of your love. I pray that I may live up to your plans for me. Make me accountable for my faith in my words and actions. Allow me to boldly proclaim you as my God and Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.

Help me to walk in faith and reflect your grace in my work and everyday life. Give me the courage to embrace those who are without faith and help me to have the courage to bring them to a relationship with you.

Heavenly Father, Opportunities abound it my life. I pray you will guide me in making the choices which best honor you and your call for me. Give me the courage to do what is right even though it may not be easy.

Thank you for placing people in my life who I can rely on to support me in tough times and who love me without condition. Continue to bless them and remind me always of how much these people do for me.

Heavenly Father, Today I strive to be better than I was yesterday. May I do one more good thing, give one more ounce of myself to make the life of another better. May I show the full measure of my worth in raising the value of a friend.

Allow me to not make being the best my goal but being better than I am. Make me a reflection of your love in holding up the successes of others. Allow me to be humble in my own success and give me the ability to utilize my success to advance the goals of others.

Each day is a new opportunity to do a little more and make a little better the world around me. Give me the courage to boldly confess my faith and profess you as my master and my God. All of these things I pray in the name of the Risen Christ. Amen

Heavenly Father, On this day I pray for a peaceful heart. As the concerns of business and work take their toll I pray you will intercede and allow me to give up to you those things which I cannot control.

An Easter Prayer

To my God and my Lord, On this Easter I thank you for the promises of the empty tomb. It is in the Risen Christ that we can cling to the hope of a better world. May we who believe be inclined to take this wonderful message into the world and share with those who may not have experienced a relationship with you.

Make us courageous ambassadors of the salvation which comes from accepting Christ as our saviour. Allow us to speak boldly and courageously this message. May there be many who accept Christ as their personal saviour. Give them also the hope of the promises which come from being in a committed relationship with you.

For many this may be a time of hopelessness and confusion. Allow the Holy Spirit to enter into their hearts and give them a sense of peace. Help them to seek answers to their questions from those who you have called to provide such answers.

It is with joy I proclaim Jesus as my saviour and pray that I may always be willing to reflect your love for me. May I be a beacon of your love and a willing servant of your word. These things I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

Today I pray

Heavenly Father, On this Palm Sunday I embrace the Passion story with great thanks for the meaning of the events of the coming Holy Week. At the core of all of this is a chance for me to leave the heartache and disappointments of the past year at the foot of the cross.

In the death of Jesus let me let die those things which hold me back from being the faithful servant I have been called to be. Over the past several weeks I have had time to reflect and put my past in perspective and am now ready to leave it behind. Make me courageous in moving forward in a new life.

Thank you for the people you have put in my life to help me on this new path. In this new life allow me to be humble in my gifts but bold in my willingness to share my talents in service. Help me to be a proud witness of my faith to all I encounter. May the light of Jesus' resurrection reflect through me and serve as a guide for how I live my life.

In the name of the risen Christ I pray all of these things. Amen

Gracious God. As I continue on this walk of reflection and renewal I pray that I will remain on the path you have marked. Keep me true to your calling.

In reflecting on the past allow me to put it in proper perspective so that I can move forward in a positive frame of mind. Give me the courage to leave behind those things which have been hurtful and reflect on the many joys in my life.

Heavenly Father, As this week unfolds I have a sense of calm for the first time in a very long time. I am beginning to settle into a new routine and a new life. You have led me here and for all of your blessing in this move I am grateful.

In the days ahead give me the courage to move forward boldly and with confidence in the plan you have for me. Give me the wisdom to discern your call against my own desires and allow me to follow the path you have laid out for me.

Today I pray

Gracious God, Today I contemplate many changes coming in my life and lay them all up to you. As doors close others do open.

As I prepate to move to a new home and begin a new life I first pray for safe travel. As Susie and I begin a life together I pray you will bless our relationship and allow our love for each other be a reflection of your love for us.

There are still many things which are a source of concern and frustation for me. As I contemplate the best way to manage these things I pray for your guidance. Give me wisdom to deal with these challenges and courage to make difficut decisions.

Also this week will be the last worship service for the church have attended. I pray for your blessing on all of those who have been a part of this ministry and that the work we did as a congregation will provide a lasting impression on all of those it has touched. May we go out from our church and be about the work of sharing your love for each of us with all we encounter.

Indeed this is a time of great change, a time to reflect on the past but most importantly it is a time to look forward with a postive expectancy of all which lies ahead. Bless us all dear God. Amen
