Today I pray

Heavenly Father, for a new day and all it holds, I give you thanks. For my work and the abilities you have given me, I give you thanks.

There are so many people who you have place in my life to give me support and for them I am also truly grateful. Give me the courage of my convictions and allow my to always aim for what is right and a reflection of your presence in my life.

Grant me serenity in times of angst, encourage me in times of struggle and lift me up to your great love. I pray all of this in the name of the risen Christ. Amen

Today I pray

On this morning we have our first frost of the season. On this crisp morning I am in awe of the changing seasons. Th world in which you created gives us the opportunity to witness the aspects of our lives. We are born into spring, mature in summer, reflect in autumn and our life ends in the winter.

Thank you for not making winter the end of the story. In the resurrection of Jesus we are given this new life. During the autumn of the year we are given an opportunity to embrace the life you have given to us. As we see the world around us ready itself for it's annual slumber we live in the knowledge that you will bring new life to the world again in the spring. Just as the earth, each of us has been given a 'new' spring.

It is for this new spring each of us lives. As we prepare for our new life allow us to enjoy the life you have given us here on earth. Thank you for the seasons and the chance we have to find solace in each. Amen
