Today I pray

The bounty of your love is revealed in the caring of friends. This day, Oh God, I offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the people you have placed in my life.

There are those who show me unconditional love, those who keep me grounded when I may try to reach too far. I also thank you for those people who are here to teach me patience and consideration. Thank you for those who may not love or even like me. It is those people which build my character.

I pray for those who are hurting in their own ways that they will come to recognize you and embrace your love. May you use me as an instrument of your love. Allow me to be a reflection of Christ to all I encounter not for my glory but for their needs.

God, for every gift you have given me I am thankful. I would ask you allow me to use it to the full measure of my ability and in me people will see you.

Thank you for this day which affords new opportunities and new challenges. May I use this day fully in your service.

I pray all of thees things in my saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen

Today I pray

Dear God, this day has been one of promise and for this I am thankful. I pray for all of those who are facing economic hardships. May this time be one of reflection and allows us a chance to turn closer to you. Give us comfort and confidence in the future you have planned for each of us. Settle our hearts as we put our trust in you and your plan for our lives.

Give us courage to reach out to those who are in need. Allow us to use our gifts fully in service to our fellow man as a reflection of your presence in our lives. Remind us you are in all things and when times are dark and difficult you are still with us.

In the days ahead give us confidence in the hope which resides with you and was manifested in the resurrection of Jesus.

All these things we pray. Amen

Today I pray

For this day I offer many thanks. I thank you for providing me with opportunities and allowing me to ponder the wonders of your world. Thanks also for wonderful friends who offer encouragement and understanding when things are tough. I am grateful for a day of productivity in my work and pray you will always be with me and my life may always be centered for you.

Lord I ask your blessing on all of those who have needs that they will find comfort and peace in your loving embrace. Give them courage to move forward and never doubt your love for them. All of this in Christs name. Amen

Prayer to an Unseen Friend

My special friend, thank you for listening to me. You know how hard I am trying to fulfill your faith in me.
Thank You, also for the place in which I dwell. Let neither work nor play, no matter how satisfying or glorious, ever separate me for long from my precious family.
Teach me how to play the game of life with fairness, courage, fortitude and confidence.
Provide me with a few friends who understand me and yet remain my friends.
Allow me a forgiving heart and a mind unafraid to travel though the trail may not be marked.
Give me a sense of humor and a little leisure with nothing to do.
Help me to strive for the highest legitimate reward of merit, ambition and opportunity, and yet never allow me to forget to extend a kindly, helping hand to others who need encouragement and assistance.
Provide me with the strength to encounter whatever is to come, that I be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temperate in anger and always prepared for any change of fortune.
Enable me to give a smile instead of a frown, a kindly word instead of harshness and bitterness.
Make me sympathetic to the grief of others, realizing that there are hidden woes in every life, no matter how exalted.
Keep me forever serene in every activity of life, neither unduly boastful nor given to the more serious sin of self-depreciation.
In sorrow, may my soul be uplifted, by the thought that if there were no shadow, there would be no sunshine.
In failure, preserve my faith.
In success, keep me humble.
Steady me to do the full share of my work, and more, as well as I can, and when that is done, stop me, pay me what wages Thou wilt, and permit me to say, from a loving heart...

Gracious God. For this day for which I continue to seek clarity I thank you. For every struggle and every challenge I thank you. For the knowledge I gain from these struggles and challenges I thank you. Give me courage to follow your guidance and peace in knowing you are with me every step of the way. Amen

Lord God, Today I pray for patience and perseverance. Quiet me to listen to your voice and observant enough to know through whom you are speaking. Give me the courage to make difficult decisions. Steady me when I stumble and sustain me when the path becomes difficult. Make me a blessing to those I encounter and uphold me always. In your magnificent grace. Amen

Heavenly Father, for this day, I thank you. For save travel home, I thank you. For a future riddled with uncertainty, I thank you. For today, given as a gift that I may live it fully and fulfill my purpose, I thank you.

Give me the courage to step into the unknown and know where I may find darkness you are the light. Make me a servant of your call for me and a willing contributor to sharing your grace with all those I encounter.
