Today I pray

Heavenly Father, The things which hold me back are often of my own doing. I pray you will allow me to be faithful in stepping forward in answering your call. Give me wisdom to separate your desires for me from my own. Allow me to realize your plan and move as you are leading me.

Give me courage to share you with those I encounter. Help those who follow you to be bold in their faith and willing to stand up for those beliefs. As our nation continues to struggle arm your servants with the words of reconciliation and healing. Help us to draw together opposing sides. Even those who are polarizing our nation in your name

Help us to understand we are called only to love you. In this all other things are possible. Bless me in my daily encounters that I may be a reflection of your love. All of this I offer in the name of Jesus. Amen

Today I pray

For this day Lord I give you thanks. It has been a day of rest and relaxation. Such days allow us to appreciate our work and the fruits of our labor.

As we begin a new week I would ask you to bless our tomorrows and all the opportunities they present. Keep us mindful of your plan for each of us and allow us to work to the full measure of the gifts you have given us.

I thank you also for challenges which test our faith and allow us to come to a closer relationship with you. I ask for your continued blessings in the name of Jesus. Amen
